(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - USAutomatic Sprinkler Corporation, a fire protection company specializing in complete Fire Sprinkler, Fire Alarm and Detection, and Life Safety System Services announces that Brian D. Sauer, Director of Training and Development was a guest speaker for the 2009 Indiana Safety and Health Conference and Expo. Sauer's speech on Fire Protection and Life Safety addressed the Fire Service Features of Buildings and Fire Protection Systems. The needs and requirements of the fire service are not typically understood by those unfamiliar with firefighting operations. Referenced from the OSHA publication 'Fire Service Features of Buildings and Fire Protection Systems,' this session educated attendees on different building features including fire apparatus access, firefighter access, fire protection and alarm systems and radio communication for firefighters. Sauer discussed where these features are required by the Indiana Fire Code and why they are important not only for the physical structure and its occupants, but for responding firefighters as well.

His education programs train facilities management professionals, construction services professionals, architects and engineers each year in important life safety, fire alarm and fire sprinkler applications.
